    Go to bakery in Oakland Chinatown! Most days there's a line out the door so come early. I normally go for their eggtarts or their mini pineapple buns with pork. They had an assortment of mooncakes during the weeks leading up to the mid-autumn festival this year. They have unique flavors outside of the normal lotus ones. I really liked the black sesame mooncake! It wasn't too sweet and was flavorful. Cash only. Street parking or garage parking only.

    Just tried the mooncakes with my family as part of our Mid-Autumn Festival celebration and they tasted like the ones from the now shuttered SF location. We'll probably be back to buy mooncakes next year!

    Cake and bake goods are always simple and great here. Tip, bring cash and come early or slim pickings. The lines do get long, but usually, they move fast.

    Good Chinese bakery with great prices if you come in the afternoon. I often see a line going out the door when I walk by Napolean, so one day I decided to see what the fuss was all about. It's a tiny store for takeout only, I'd say 2-3 people could comfortable stand in front of the display and order but that's it. Because I came a bit later, around 4:30 pm on a weekday, most of their items were already sold out, including egg tarts. Pickings were slim, but I picked up two mini pineapple bins with custard filling at an incredible price of 2 for $1. I ate them immediately upon getting home, and while I found them a bit hard (maybe they had been sitting out for a while?), you can't beat the value!
